Sue Ross Legal are working on behalf of our client, a highly respected Law Firm, who are seeking an experienced legal professional to take on a supervisory role within a high-performing team dedicated to personal injury litigation. This role combines hands-on legal casework with leadership responsibilities, offering the chance to support both clients and colleagues in delivering life-changing outcomes.
As a Supervisor, you will oversee the handling of legal claims for individuals who have suffered personal injuries due to third-party negligence. You’ll lead and mentor a team of legal professionals, provide critical oversight of claims, and work closely with clients to ensure their needs are met with empathy and expertise.
The role offers meaningful work, managing cases involving serious and complex injuries, and provides opportunities to work alongside leading barristers from both regional chambers and the London bar.
Key Responsibilities for the PI/Clinical Negligence Supervisor role:
* Lead and support a team of legal professionals, fostering growth and collaboration
* Build and maintain strong client relationships, offering personalised support
* Oversee claim assessments, documentation preparation, and treatment arrangements
* Supervise the drafting of pre-action and litigation documents
* Instruct Counsel and medical experts for liability and evidence gathering
* Ensure compliance with Court directions and prepare claims for trial
* Conduct litigation, attend hearings, and lead dispute resolution efforts
* Maintain consistent client communication and manage expectations
Candidate Requirements for the PI/Clinical Negligence Supervisor role:
* Strong background in personal injury and/or clinical negligence litigation
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Thorough research and document preparation abilities
* Highly organised, motivated, and proactive
* Confident in client relationship management
* Solid understanding of the Pre-Action Protocols, Civil Procedure Rules (CPR), and solicitor/client retainers
* Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities
