Job Description
Are you an experienced Picker or Packer looking for ongoing work? Are you happy doing all aspects of warehousing? If YES, then contact us to discuss the opportunity we have available!
Mayday Personnel is proud to be working with an established and friendly company based in Southampton, Hampshire which are looking to recruit multiple Pickers and Packers for the busy peak season! This is a temporary ongoing position and could become permanent after 12 weeks if you get on well, and the workload allows!
The ideal candidate will be responsible for picking orders using hand held scanners, packing and labelling orders and loading completed orders into the correct areas for dispatch.
This opportunity will start from the 11th August 2025.
Key responsibilities:
* Picking completed orders using hand scanners
* Packing orders and checking paperwork
* Labelling completed orders
* Loading and unloading orders into the correct areas ready for dispatch
* Stock and quality control duties and liaising with supervisors over any discrepancies
* Keeping the work area clean and tidy at all times
* Any other ad-hoc warehouse duties where needed
Key skills:
* Picking, packing and scanning experience (advantage)
* A good work ethic and attitude
* Excellent communication skills
* Able to load and unload completed orders of up to 25kg into the correct dispatch areas (essential)
* Self-motivated and good time keeping skills to meet deadlines
Reward:
* £12.21 per hour (up to 40 hours Monday to Friday)
* £18.32 per hour (after 40 hours Monday to Friday, and all hours on a Saturday)
* Temporary ongoing (with the chance to go permanent after 12 weeks if you get on well!)
Working hours:
* 8.30am - 5pm Monday to Friday's
* Overtime opportunities available during busy periods
