Job Description
Position: Installation Engineer (Pipe Fitter)
Location: UK-wide travel required
Type: Full-time | Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per annum + bonuses and benefits
About the Role
We’re looking for a skilled and reliable Installation Engineer (Pipe Fitter) to join our growing team. You'll be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining commercial gas line systems at sites across the UK. If you're hands-on, safety-conscious, and experienced in mechanical installations, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Key Responsibilities
* Install, maintain, and repair piping systems, valves, regulators, and associated components.
* Cut, bend, connect, and weld pipes using industry-standard tools and techniques.
* Read and interpret isometric drawings, blueprints, risk assessments, and method statements.
* Perform system testing, including pressure testing and helium leak detection.
* Prepare installation areas by cutting, drilling, and making wall/ceiling adjustments.
* Complete clear and accurate installation reports.
* Work efficiently to meet deadlines and project schedules.
* Collaborate closely with the Installations team on-site and in planning phases.
* Travel across the UK with occasional overnight stays.
Requirements
* 5+ years of pipe fitting or installation experience in a commercial or industrial setting.
* Strong understanding of gas systems, materials, and installation practices.
* Confident in reading technical drawings and carrying out precise mechanical work.
* Problem-solving mindset with a keen eye for detail and safety.
* Welding experience (preferred; training can be provided).
* Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
* Comfortable with regular overnight stays as requiredBefore You Apply
