Job Description
Opus Vitae is recruiting for an experienced Pipe Fitter to join a growing mechanical team in Trafford Park. This is a hands-on role working on varied and challenging projects, where attention to detail and high-quality standards are essential.
What you’ll be doing:
* Measuring, marking, and preparing pipes for cutting, threading, and welding
* Using threading machines, pipe benders, and hand tools to fabricate pipework
* Installing and securing pipes to structures, ensuring correct positioning
* Carrying out welding, soldering, brazing, and fusing of pipework
* Sealing and testing completed pipe systems to eliminate leaks and weak joints
* Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
* Planning and installing piping systems in industrial units or vehicles
* Supporting repair and maintenance works using appropriate plumbing and welding techniques
What we’re looking for:
* Proven experience as a Pipe Fitter
* Strong technical ability with pipework fabrication and installation
* Knowledge of welding and plumbing techniques
* Ability to read and work from technical specifications and drawings
* A methodical approach, with a strong focus on quality and safety
* Flexible and reliable, able to adapt to project requirements
What’s on offer:
* £19–23 per hour (depending on experience)
* 44 hours per week: 07:00–16:30 Monday to Thursday, 07:00–15:30 Friday
* Flexibility in working hours where required
* Training provided to support ongoing learning and development
