Job Description
Frontline Recruitment Derby are seeking a skilled Pipefitter (2 vacancies) to join our clients' busy team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems. This role requires a strong understanding of pipefitting techniques and the ability to work with both hand and power tools and interpret drawings. The successful applicant will play a crucial role in ensuring that all piping systems operate efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
* Install and maintain piping systems according to specifications and codes.
* Use hand tools and power tools effectively to cut, shape, thread and assemble pipes with standard fittings.
* Conduct routine inspections of piping systems to identify any issues or necessary repairs.
* Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently.
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
Skills
* Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools related to pipefitting.
* Strong skills in pipefitting techniques and basic maths for measurements and calculations.
* Experience in building and maintaining piping systems across different applications.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
* Able to read and interpret drawings
* Experience in mild steel (some stainless steel) materials (no welding) 1/2" to 2" pipes
* Able to work independently and part of a busy team
* Full time position for the right applicant!
Salary
£17.00 ph plus £25.50 ph over 39 hours, weekly pay whilst on agency (paye).
