Job Description
Pipe Welder required for specialist pipework and fabrications firm looking to increase head count due to increased order book requirements. Working only Monday to Thursday, enjoy a long weekend off, breaks are paid, Free parking, Permanent contract available after successful completion of 26weeks temporary (like a probationary) period.
Pay: £43,680 basic salary £20.00ph PAYE for standard 42hours + x1.5 Overtime Fridays when comes available.
As Pipe Welder your day to day duties will cover (but not be limited to):
Welding to X ray standard on both stainless and carbon steel (mild) materials
Ability to read drawings and cut pipe spools unsupervised
Majority of the welding is Tig & Mag welding
Weld test will take place at interview stage; tig butt weld stainless steel 2mm wall thickness, butt weld carbon steel 5mm wall thickness.
May be required to work onsite on occasions so strong mechanical assembly & fitting skills required!
Fabricating pipes, flanges, plant rooms, skids to a very high specification onto pipe spools
Plater Welder with experience doing MIG and TIG welding could be considered
All other general fab shop duties expected of you across the shift
As Pipe Welder you will be expected to work and adhere to strict Health and Safety standards set by the company
To be successful in your application as Pipe Welder you MUST be:
Skilled and have a proven work experience in fabrication and pipe welding with stainless steel and mild steels for more than 2 years or
Have necessary qualifications/ be time served and experienced in MIG TIG welding within a similar engineering environment.
Driving License ideal due to location of site outside Leeds
Status: Permanent after successful completion of 26week temporary (like probationary) period
Location: Leeds, Beeston commutable from Bradford, Wakefield, Dewsbury and local train stations.
