Piping Designer – HPC Power Station
📍 Location: Hinkley Point C (HPC), Somerset
💰 Salary: Up to £44,000 per annum (DOE)
🕓 Contract Type: Permanent / Full-time
About the Role:
We’re seeking a skilled Piping Designer to join our growing engineering team supporting the Hinkley Point C power station project. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to one of the UK’s most significant energy infrastructure projects while developing your career within a high-performing, technically driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Produce and update 2D and 3D piping layouts, isometrics, and general arrangement drawings.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary design and engineering teams to develop high-quality design solutions.
Ensure compliance with relevant design codes, standards, and project specifications.
Conduct clash detection and design reviews within 3D model environments.
Support site coordination, design changes, and documentation control as required.About You:
Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related discipline.
3+ years’ experience in piping design, ideally within power generation, nuclear, or large industrial projects.
Strong understanding of Eurocodes and design standards (flexibility on depth of experience here).
Proficient in 2D and 3D design tools – experience with AVEVA E3D preferred, but candidates with other CAD software (e.g. PDMS, AutoCAD Plant 3D, SmartPlant, etc.) will also be considered.
Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving.
