Job Description
Core Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
*
Oversee piping design, stress analysis (CAESAR II), and material specification (carbon steel, duplex, Inconel) per BS EN 13480/ASME B31.3.
*
Approve isometrics, P&IDs, and GA drawings for complex systems (HP steam, cryogenic, hazardous fluids).
*
Ensure BIM Level 2 compliance and clash-free integration with structural/civil elements.
Project Execution
*
Manage budgets (£), schedules (Primavera P6), and resources for piping packages.
*
Administer NEC4 ECC contracts (compensation events, early warnings).
*
Lead FAT/SAT, hydrotesting, and handover to commissioning teams.
Safety & Compliance
*
Enforce CDM 2015 (Principal Designer duties), PED 2014/68/EU, and DSEAR for hazardous zones.
*
Drive zero LTI culture via RAMS, permit-to-work systems, and HAZOP closeouts.
Team Management
*
Mentor 15–30 engineers (designers, stress engineers, site supervisors).
*
Conduct performance reviews and competency assessments (ECITB standards)Before You Apply
