Astute's Renewables Team is partnering with a forward-thinking energy infrastructure business with a strong focus on innovation, reliability, and sustainability to recruit a Planner for its UK-based operations. This strategically important Planner role offers a salary of £32,000- £35,000, pension scheme, and hybrid working flexibility. Responsibilities and duties of the Planner role Reporting to the Planning & Performance Manager, you will: Develop and implement effective maintenance, renewal, and operational plans to support business and performance goals. Coordinate and optimise field and engineering schedules to ensure efficient use of resources. Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards in all asset management activities. Oversee prioritisation of maintenance activities, capital projects, and system upgrades to minimise disruption. Manage asset lifecycle planning to maximise reliability, utilisation, and cost efficiency. Work collaboratively with engineering, field operations, finance, and commercial teams to deliver integrated planning outcomes. Use data-driven insights to inform asset strategies, risk assessments, and investment decisions. Contribute to business continuity and emergency response planning related to operational infrastructure. Utilise planning and asset management tools to monitor, report, and enhance operational performance. Support the preparation of budgets, resource allocation plans, and performance reports for senior management. Professional qualifications We are looking for someone with the following: Proven experience in asset management, operations planning, or maintenance coordination within a technical or infrastructure setting (e.g., energy, utilities, renewables). Strong understanding of asset lifecycle management, maintenance planning, and network operations. Strong analytical capability Experienced in budget control and efficient resource management. Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Asset Management, or a related discipline preferred. Additional credentials such as IAM, PRINCE2, or PMP would be advantageous. Personal skills The Planner role would suit someone who is: Highly organised and methodical, with strong attention to detail. A confident communicator who can collaborate effectively across technical and commercial teams. Skilled in problem-solving and decision-making in fast-paced environments. Commercially aware, with the ability to balance operational efficiency and business objectives. Motivated by continuous improvement and operational excellence.
