Title: Planning Engineer (Consultancy)

Salary: £50-70,000 per annum + car allowance + package
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Planning Engineer looking to take their career to the next level to join one of the UK's respected construction and project management consultancies based in London.
Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of major commissions, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Planning Engineer with 2-3+ years' experience to join their established and expanding planning team in London.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside industry-leading professionals and gain exposure to some of the UK's most complex and prestigious construction projects. You'll be joining a collaborative and forward-thinking team that is playing a key role in delivering landmark projects across the built environment sector.
The Role
As part of a growing Planning function, you will support the successful delivery of a portfolio of high-profile projects, initially including:
A flagship £1.5 billion programme
A major £500 million commercial development in London
You will be responsible for developing and maintaining project programmes, supporting project teams with schedule analysis and reporting, and ensuring robust planning processes are embedded throughout the project lifecycle.Key Responsibilities
Develop, update and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6
Perform critical path analysis and programme reviews
Monitor project progress and provide accurate forecasting and reporting
Identify programme risks, delays and opportunities for mitigation
Support project teams in developing recovery and acceleration plans
Engage with clients, contractors and key stakeholders to ensure effective programme management
Assist in the administration and management of NEC contract requirementsAbout You
The successful candidate will possess:
2-3+ years' experience in a Planning role within construction, infrastructure or consultancy environments
Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6
Good understanding of NEC contracts and programme management principles
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
A proactive approach and desire to build a long-term career within a leading consultancy environment
