About the Role: As a Planning Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, agreeing, and delivering detailed planning requirements for a specific Manufacturing Zone/Technology, ensuring we hit our Quality, Cost, and Delivery targets while adhering to Health and Safety standards. Key Responsibilities: Evaluate Manufacturing Feasibility in line with the Product Emergence Process (PEP). Deliver Quality Planning (APQP) processes and ensure compliance with internal and external audits. Manage the sign-off of Bid specs and product B-release according to project timelines. Identify facility, jig, fixture, and tooling requirements. Ensure processes are delivered within agreed budget targets and manage cost risks effectively. Support capital expenditure investment justification and lead cost-saving activities. Maintain project delivery in accordance with business requirements, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards. Proactively identify and manage project risks. Work closely with various departments (Production, Logistics, Facilities) to promote effective and efficient ways of working. Facilitate communication and drive resolution of issues across functions. To excel in this role, you should possess: Needs to have to APQP experience Technical Competency: Expertise in product assembly, process design, and standardized work methodology. Communication Skills: Strong ability to influence and communicate effectively at all levels. Continuous Improvement Mindset: Experience with problem-solving tools and techniques. Practical Knowledge: Ability to read engineering drawings, interpret measurement data, and apply dimensional management analysis.Qualifications: Higher National Qualification in Engineering/Manufacturing/Science or equivalent degree with demonstrable manufacturing experience.
