Job Title: Planning & Logistics Manager
Location: Brandon, Suffolk
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 (depending on experience)
We're working with a growing manufacturing business in Brandon, Suffolk, to recruit a Planning & Logistics Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong track record in production planning, inventory control, and logistics operations.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and confident managing end-to-end supply chain functions. Regular monthly travel to a sister site outside of Suffolk will be required.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute production planning and capacity forecasting strategies.
Optimize inventory levels to meet service, cost, and cash flow targets.
Work cross-functionally with Sales, Contracts, and Production teams to align supply plans with demand.
Oversee day-to-day logistics operations, including warehousing and transportation.
Negotiate and manage relationships with third-party logistics providers.
Monitor logistics performance and implement cost-control initiatives.
Lead and support a high-performing planning and logistics team.
Utilise ERP and planning systems (Bespoke Precast Manufacturing) to drive efficiency.
Analyse data to identify trends and make informed decisions.
Report regularly to senior leadership on supply chain performance and challenges.
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience (5+ years) in supply chain planning and logistics management.
Strong background using ERP and supply chain systems.
Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines.
A relevant degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field (Master's preferred).
Experience with lean principles or Six Sigma/APICS certification is a bonus.
