Are you a strategic thinker with a strong background in supply chain or production planning? We are working with a well-established and rapidly expanding food manufacturing business in Norfolk that is looking to appoint a Planning Manager to oversee planning operations and drive efficiency across the supply chain.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a business that supplies many of the UK’s leading retailers, restaurants, and wholesalers – and plays a key role in the regional economy.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement effective planning strategies to support operational and commercial goals
Plan and coordinate production schedules (including kill programmes) to meet demand
Complete documentation for the transport and processing of live birds, ensuring regulatory compliance
Liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and external stakeholders to ensure accurate planning and execution
Represent the company at agricultural events and build relationships with potential external buyers
Produce regular planning reports and updates for senior managementRequirements for the role:
Previous experience in demand or production planning within FMCG or food manufacturing
Strong working knowledge of planning systems and intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
Commercially astute, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders
Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a drive for continuous improvement
