Planning Manager – Food Manufacturing
Location: Hull
Salary: Up to £55,000 (depending on experience)

Our client, a leading name in the food manufacturing sector based in Hull, is looking to recruit a dynamic Planning Manager to take ownership of the planning function across their busy site.
The Role:
As Planning Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring production schedules are aligned with customer demand, stock levels are managed effectively, and the supply chain runs efficiently. This is a great opportunity to shape and develop planning processes in a business that values continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and manage daily, weekly, and long-term production plans
*
Liaise with production, procurement, and commercial teams to ensure full alignment
*
Monitor inventory levels to minimise waste and maintain availability
*
Analyse data to drive forecasting accuracy and planning efficiency
*
Lead and develop a small planning team
*
Drive improvements in planning systems and reporting
About You:
*
Proven experience in a planning role within food manufacturing – ideally chilled/short shelf-life products
*
Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems
*
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
*
Highly analytical and solutions-focused
*
Able to work at pace, with a keen eye for detail
