Job Description

Our client is currently seeking a skilled Planning Policy Officer to join their team on a contract basis. This role offers the opportunity for flexible working with occasional office presence required. Key Responsibilities: Developing and implementing planning policies in line with regional and national guidelines Conducting research and data analysis to inform policy decisions Engaging with stakeholders, including the public, government bodies, and developers Preparing and presenting reports, policy documents, and recommendations Monitoring and reviewing existing policies to ensure they remain effective and up-to-date Providing expert advice on planning policy matters Attending meetings and consultations as required Collaborating with other departments to ensure cohesive policy implementation Job Requirements: Experience in planning policy, ideally within the public sector Strong understanding of regional and national planning legislation Excellent research and analytical skills Ability to effectively communicate complex information to a range of audiences Proficiency in preparing detailed reports and policy documents Strong stakeholder engagement and consultation skills Capacity to work both independently and as part of a team Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in planning or a related discipline Benefits: Competitive hourly rate inside IR35 Flexible working arrangements with minimal office presence required Opportunities to work on significant planning projects Professional development and continuous learning opportunities Supportive and dynamic work environment If you are experienced in planning policy and are looking for a new contract opportunity, we would love to hear from you.
