Job Description
Astute's Power team is partnering with a leading energy provider to recruit a Plant Attendant for their Energy from Waste facility in Dudley.
This Plant Attendant role offers a salary of £30,000 - 34,000 + benefits.

Responsibilities and duties of the Shift Plant Attendant role
Reporting to the Shift Team Leader you will:
Manage vehicle movements and turnaround of waste deliveries on site
Carry out tipping hall operations including vehicle marshalling
Load IBA and other by-products for off-site transport
Assist with receiving and storing deliveries including chemicals and consumables
Operate mobile plant such as front loader, telehandler, and forklift trucks
Conduct pre-start checks and inspections
Respond to plant breakdowns and support maintenance activities
Contribute to shift logging, reporting and risk assessments
Participate in site HSE initiatives, audits, and forums
Uphold compliance with site safety rules, procedures and permit requirements
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
ONC, City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in a relevant discipline such as mechanical, electrical or thermal/process operations
Competence in mobile plant operation
Familiarity with safety systems, procedures and permit controls
Good understanding of health, safety, and environmental responsibilities
Experience with waste or process plant operations is beneficial
Personal skills
The Shift Plant Attendant role would suit someone who is:
Able to work within a team and communicate effectively across departments
Confident in taking responsibility for work activities with minimal supervision
Focused on maintaining operational safety and efficiency
Prepared to work flexibly, including on-call requirements and shift changes
Willing to participate in ongoing training and skill development

Days - 4 on 4 off rotation
