About the Role:
We are looking for a proactive Plant Coordinator to join our team and ensure the smooth supply of plant equipment and services for our rail infrastructure projects. This role is key to managing plant hire, tracking equipment, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the hire of internal and external plant equipment as required by projects.
* Accurately log plant hires and returns using company systems
* Track equipment locations and reports
* Maintain up-to-date plant hire records and audit trails.
* Handle repairs, losses, and damages, ensuring all costs are recorded.
* Conduct regular plant audits and ensure compliance with PUWER/LOLER regulations.
* Support process improvements to meet evolving business needs.
Essential Requirements:
* Experience in plant coordination, preferably in rail or construction.
* Knowledge of plant hire processes and PUWER/LOLER compliance.
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
* Experience with Microsoft Excel and IT systems.
* Excellent communication skills
* Full UK driving licence (site visits may be required)
