Job Description
Plant Fitter required to join a leading Consutrction & Civils company based in their Horsham location.
You will be responsible for the safe & cost-effective repair & maintenance of plant & equipment targeting zero defects. This role will be based out of the Horsham workshop but will be required to attend site breakdowns as required so a full UK driving licence is essential.
Plant Fitter Job Overview
Carry out designated tasks as instructed by Workshop Manager, dealing with any scheduled repairs as well as unscheduled repairs and checks as they arise.
Diagnose and apply the relevant mechanical and electrical repairs whilst ensuring compliance with any relevant risk assessments and method statements.
Repair or replace damaged or worn parts and test equipment to ensure any repairs are adequate.
Carry out fabrication, welding and gas cutting as required.
Carry out routine servicing of vehicles, plant and equipment, ensuring service records are completed and maintained.
Carry out diagnostics of vehicles and equipment both in the workshop and on site.Plant Fitter Job Requirements
Full UK driving licence - Essential
Proven ability in a Plant Engineering / Maintenance role
Experience updating service documentation
Experience working to H&S standards and following company policy
Mechanical OR Electrical NVQ / Qualification is highly desirablePlant Fitter Salary & Benefits
