SRG is working with a successful and leading oil refinery based in Stoke-on-Trent, they are looking for an experienced Plant Manager to join the team. You would be joining a fast-paced environment where your analytical skills and attention to detail will be crucial.
The successful candidate will be joining a successful and growing family run business, where you would manage plant operations on a plant that runs 24/7, support in the development and training of the team, further aid the day to day operations that keep the plant running smoothly and safely. You'll oversee production schedules, optimise processes for maximum efficiency, and ensure compliance with strict environmental standards. Collaborate with skilled teams, tackle challenges head-on, and drive innovation in sustainable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily plant operations to ensure efficiency, safety, and compliance with environmental regulations.
Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand and optimise throughput.
Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of engineers, technicians, and operators to achieve performance targets.
Monitor and manage plant budgets, controlling costs without compromising quality or safety.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards across all processes.
Collaborate with maintenance teams to minimise downtime and maintain equipment reliability.
Analyse operational data and prepare reports for senior management on performance metrics.
Liaise with suppliers and contractors to maintain smooth supply chain operations.
Champion sustainability practices and support innovation projects within the refinery.
Requirements
Proven experience in plant management within oil, lubricants, or chemical processing industries.
In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental compliance standards.
Degree in Engineering, Chemical Processing, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
Full UK drivers licence and own means of transport
