A leading business in the recycling and waste management sector is seeking a Plant Manager to take full responsibility for the daily operation of one of its major processing facilities. With a strong focus on sustainability, innovation, and safety, the company operates modern infrastructure and plays a key role in supporting the UK's transition to a circular economy.
The Role
The Plant Manager will lead all operational activities on site, ensuring the facility runs safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with environmental and regulatory standards. This is a hands-on leadership role with direct accountability for production performance, team development, and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include managing site resources, embedding a positive health and safety culture, and optimising plant performance through effective planning and oversight. The Plant Manager will also play a critical role in workforce management, quality control, cost control, and supporting long-term asset development in line with business goals.
The ideal candidate will bring experience managing operations in a processing, manufacturing, or production facility with a strong health and safety track record. They will be confident leading large teams, familiar with environmental compliance, and capable of driving site-level performance through proactive, pragmatic leadership.
