Plant Manager - RC frame & groundwork subcontractor

Surrey Based

£40,000 - £60,000 + Benefits

About the Opportunity:

Based at our client’s plant yard near Chertsey, you will be tasked with the complete control of their plant and machinery while on and off sites in and around London.

The successful applicant will report to the director of the business and will be responsible for overseeing the transport, maintenance, procurement and management of all the plant within the business (from small tools to large excavators).

As this is an expanding business, your role will only grow, so future opportunities are available for those with aspirations to develop.

About the Company:

Our client is based in London with a plant yard in Surrey. They complete a variety of groundwork and concrete frame packages for a mixture of industrial, residential, and commercial projects around the South East. Current turnover is around £30m per annum, and the business has been trading for 15 years.

I’ve known the MD of this business for nearly 20 years and have always found him straightforward to deal with. He takes care of his team, has a very stable staff base, and his focus is always on quality over volume.

About the Requirements:

To be considered, all applicants must have worked in a Plant Management position before. Ideal applicants will have worked in this role for a rival concrete frame or groundwork subcontractor in the UK, but we will also consider individuals with good experience in this position from other types of construction businesses in the UK.

Outside of this, the requirements relate to what any growing business would want: People who are committed to a long-term role and have held stability in their previous roles. People who are keen to work as part of a team towards building a strong and reputable company. And individuals who can demonstrate the ability to self-manage while also overseeing others.

About the Benefits:

As a starting salary, I am looking to consider anyone earning anything from £40,000 to £60,000 per annum. This is a rough salary bracket, so please still get in touch if your aspirations are slightly outside this. In addition to basic wage, things like car allowance or company vehicle, pension and similar will be on offer.
