PLANT OPERATIVE – ENERGY FROM WASTE

LOCATION Mitcham, Surrey
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Competently carry out operational activities within the boiler house and turbine hall, ensuring adherence to safety, professionalism, cost-effectiveness, and timely execution in line with company policies and procedures.
Collaborate with the Shift Team Leader to maintain the efficient day-to-day operation of the plant, maximizing plant availability and optimizing performance at the state-of-the-art facility.
Provide assistance to the Shift Team in operating the plant, ensuring compliance with all company standards and regulatory requirements.
Operation of mobile plant and machinery
Operation of weighbridge
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
GCSE or equivalent; technical certification in power plant operations preferred.
Proven experience in process, production or manufacturing environment, showcasing a strong understanding of plant equipment and processes.
Knowledge of safety protocols, procedures, and legal requirements related to power plant operations.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions from the Shift Team Leader.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Electrical / Mechanical / Fixed Plant / Chemical Process / Power Plant experience
HNC / HNC preferred but not essential
Previous experience using a CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) is beneficial
Slinging / Lifting or FLT (Fork Lift Truck) certification would be advantageousBefore You Apply
