About the role: Astute's Renewables Team is partnering exclusively with a key business and influential player in the UK Anaerobic Digestion market. The company are building an asset in the Northampton area and we're looking to crew up the plant. We're looking for motivated individuals who want to make a difference to the UK's energy transition and who, ideally, experience in the anaerobic digestion sector. The Plant Operator role comes with an excellent salary, with overtime available and the chance to progress within the business. Responsibilities and duties: Reporting to the Plant Manager you will: Operate the anaerobic digestion plant on a day to day basis Feed the plant on a consistent and daily basis using a Telehandler Follow direction, as well as contributing to implement and achieve operational and personal targets Use the SCADA system to control and operate the plant (familiarity with SCADA is preferred but training can be provided) Maintain all relevant site health, safety, quality and environmental standards Visual inspections of the site and logging the information General housekeeping in maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment Assist the Maintenance Engineer when required to carry out planned and reactive site maintenance Look for ways to improve the plant and recommend any continuous improvement suggestions to the Plant Manager Participate in an on-call rota (for which you're paid) Other duties are requiredProfessional qualifications: We are looking for someone with the following: Telehandler licence is hugely preferred, or at least demonstrable experience in driving them safely. A recognised engineering qualification is preferred but not essential Plant operations experience is preferred Experience in anaerobic digestion preferred but not essential UK driving licencePersonal skills: The Plant Operator role would suit someone who is: A problem-solver and self-starter Excellent verbal and written English language Someone hard-working who enjoys working outdoors Salary and benefits of the Plant Operator role: An excellent basic salary (to be discussed upon application) Overtime available Performance related bonus Company pension On call payments 25 days holidayAstute People are acting as an employment agency in relation to this vacancy.
