Job Description
Are you an experienced Plater looking for a new local opportunity with excellent pay and a shorter working week?
This is an excellent time to be joining this growing business. The company has been created by an ex-worker of the offshore industry who is commited to providing the highest quality of work to their clients. With this in mind, there has been no expense spared in the facility, the kit or the team.
We’re now expanding the team and recruiting for skilled Platers to join this outfit, based just outside of Newton Aycliffe.
You’ll be working on large fabricated structures and heavy-gauge plate work that form critical sections of high-specification foreign marine vessels. The role involves producing robust, precision-engineered panels and frameworks designed to meet demanding strength and quality standards, ensuring the integrity and performance of the finished product.
What’s on offer:

£18.00 per hour PAYE
*
38 hours per week, across 4 days (3-day weekend every week)
*
Overtime available across mornings, evenings and Friday mornings
*
Enhanced overtime rate
*
Ongoing, long-term work with the potential for stability and progression

The role:

Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
*
Marking out, fabricating, and plating heavy steel components
*
Working to tight tolerances on projects that demand precision and quality
*
Following strict health, safety, and quality standards
What we’re looking for:

Time-served or experienced Plater
*
Ability to confidently work from detailed drawings
*
Previous experience in heavy engineering environments
*
Commitment to producing high-quality work
