We are currently recruiting for a PLMD LSA (Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities Learning Support Assistant) to join our secondary schools in Chelmsford. The PLMD LSA will play a vital role in supporting students with profound and multiple learning disabilities, helping them engage with their learning and personal development in a full-time capacity. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with children with complex needs.
As a PLMD LSA, you will be responsible for:
Providing personalized support to students with PLMD to meet their educational and developmental needs.
Assisting teachers in delivering tailored lesson plans and supporting the implementation of individualized education programs (IEPs).
Offering personal care support where needed, ensuring students’ comfort and well-being.
Promoting communication, social interaction, and participation in school activities.
Collaborating with the wider SEN team to create a positive, inclusive environment for all students.
The ideal PLMD LSA candidate will have experience working with children with complex needs, a calm and caring demeanor, and a proactive approach to helping students overcome their challenges.
