Well established MEP Construction firm are looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to run new build plumbing sites in the Peterborough / Cambridge area.

Salary: £60,000 per annum + company vehicle

Sector: Plumbing / Construction / New Build
You will be responsible for ensuring that site teams operate in alignment with the company’s best interests, and that regional schemes are planned and executed in accordance with the agreed scope of works and contracts. You will also ensure that projects remain within budget and that profitability is maintained.
Key Responsibilities
* Promote a positive health and safety culture across all Projects.
* Form close links with the client’s representatives and their teams.
* Organize and plan labour resources to meet program.
* Ensure quality and high standards of installations are consistent across all projects
* Provide monthly labour forecasts for all Projects and share with the business.
* The greatest risk to any project is uncertainty, therefore the Contracts Manager must maintain focus on this as their main concern as an attempt to reduce risk significantly through open communication with all Managers and Directors.
* Manage site stock to ensure adequate stock is held in accordance with our stock procedure. All surplus materials to be returned for credit at the earliest opportunity.
* Undertake the formal appraisal of Supervisors, Engineers and Apprentices.
* Establish the Training requirements in your teams, and record to the Health and Safety Manager and HR Manager for actioning once Director approval has been given.
* Maintain and review the Project. Periodic progress reports to be shared with the business.
* Monitor the Gas compliance across all Projects.
* Work closely and assist the Customer Care Manager in delivering the best service possible to the homeowner/residents.
* Attend Periodic management meetings with fellow Commercial Managers, Technical Managers and Health & Safety Managers to ensure that any good or bad practices happening elsewhere in the business are communicated back into their Line projects.
* Review Budgets and PL (jointly and severally with the commercial team).
* Review and approve the Subcontractor Pay run (jointly and severally with the commercial team).
* Ensure that the strict guidelines as set out in QMS documents for production management and Commercial Management are being adhered to.
Ideal Candidate Profile
* Proven experience in Contract Management
* Experience managing New Build sites
* Strong understanding of plumbing packages
* Experience monitoring Gas Compliance
* Excellent organisational, leadership, and client management skills
* Strong communication, and problem-solving skills
* Commercially astute with proven ability to manage budgets and contractual obligations
