Lecturer – Plumbing

Salary: £28,385 – £41,782 per annum

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Lecturer in Plumbing to join a well-established Construction & Building Services department. This role offers the chance to inspire and support learners across a range of Plumbing programmes, delivering both practical and theoretical teaching in a modern, supportive environment.
The successful candidate will also contribute to course design and curriculum development, provide tutorial support, and help shape the growth of the department.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across Plumbing programmes at different levels
Develop and maintain engaging learning resources, including handouts, schemes of work and assessment materials
Support learners with guidance, progress tracking, and feedback to help them achieve their goals
Carry out assessment, verification and moderation processes in line with awarding body requirements
Contribute to student recruitment and promotional activities, supporting the growth of the provision
Maintain industry knowledge and professional practice to ensure teaching reflects sector standards
Essential Requirements:
A minimum Level 3 vocational qualification in Plumbing
Substantial and recent industry experience within the Plumbing sector
Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to inspire learners of all ages and abilities
Commitment to safeguarding and supporting learner success
Desirable:
Teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
Assessor or verifier qualifications (A1/V1 or equivalent)
Experience of delivering vocational qualifications and integrating Maths & English into the curriculum
