Prospero Teaching is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a dynamic and inclusive special school in South London, catering for learners aged 11-19 with complex needs including Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Class Teacher to lead a small class team and deliver an engaging, individualised curriculum that enables every learner to thrive.
What We're Looking For:
A qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with experience working in SEN settings, ideally with learners with PMLD.
A confident and compassionate leader, capable of managing a small team of teaching assistants.
A strong communicator who works effectively with families, therapists, and external professionals.
An organised and reflective practitioner with experience in planning, assessment, behaviour support and reporting.
A creative, resilient teacher who brings warmth, innovation and commitment to their classroom practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality, multi-sensory teaching aligned to personalised learning goals (PLIMs).
Lead and manage a class team to provide a safe, structured and positive learning environment.
Design and assess a curriculum that reflects both National Curriculum standards and specialist SEN approaches.
Develop and implement behaviour support strategies and contribute to whole-school activities and enrichment.
Support the development of the school's sensory curriculum and take on wider curriculum leadership (M6-UP3).
