The Role – PMLD Teacher
This role is ideal for a dedicated, qualified teacher experienced in working with students who have profound and multiple learning difficulties. You will be leading a small class of 5–7 pupils across KS2–KS5, supported by a skilled team of 3–4 teaching assistants. Many students are non-verbal and may have physical disabilities or complex medical needs, so familiarity with AAC, Makaton, sensory integration, and working alongside therapists is essential.
You will be responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging, and structured learning environment that supports students’ communication, physical, and cognitive development. Experience in delivering a sensory curriculum and supporting pupils with personal care needs is highly desirable.
