The Role
As a PMLD Teaching Assistant, you will:

Provide 1:1 or small group support for pupils with complex needs

Assist with personal care, feeding, and physical support as required
*
Support the delivery of sensory-based and interactive lessons
*
Use communication aids and work closely with therapists and teaching staff
*
Help maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment
Skills & Requirements
To be eligible for this role, you must have:
* At least 6 months’ experience working with children in the UK (in a school, nursery, or care setting)
* A calm, caring, and patient approach
* Confidence supporting children with physical and sensory needs, including personal care
* The ability to work well as part of a team and follow individual support plans
* A genuine passion for helping children with additional needs
Training in areas such as manual handling, Makaton, or Team Teach is desirable, but not essential.
