We're looking for a Policy Executive to join the European & International team. You'll help ensure that the voice of the UK energy industry is heard in Brussels and beyond - monitoring and shaping European and international policies that impact the UK's energy system. You'll support members to navigate the fast-evolving European policy landscape, build connections with UK and European stakeholders, and contribute to the UK's ambition of delivering a secure, affordable and low-carbon energy future.
About the role:
Support the team and member working groups on European and international energy policy issues.
Monitor European policy, legislative, and regulatory developments relevant to UK energy companies.
Draft consultation responses, briefings, and policy updates for members and stakeholders.
Build good working relationships with UK and European stakeholders, including government officials and trade bodies.
Work closely with Energy UK colleagues across policy teams to ensure a joined-up approach.
Contribute to Energy UK's wider policy and advocacy priorities as needed.We're looking for someone with:
Some exposure to the energy industry, European policy, regulation, or a related policy area
Some understanding of European energy policy and its interaction with UK markets would be advantageous
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex policy issues clearly
Confidence working with a range of stakeholders and building constructive relationships
Enthusiasm to learn, collaborate, and contribute to a dynamic and supportive teamBenefits:
