We're looking for a Policy Manager to join Energy UK's generation policy team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in energy policy, regulation, or markets to build their expertise and contribute to high-profile work shaping the future of the UK's energy system.
You'll work with member companies, government, Ofgem and other stakeholders to influence and respond to policy affecting electricity and gas generation.
About the role:
Developing a programme of work relating to Energy UK's GB power market activities. across the sector and working with members to develop Energy UK's policy positions.
Monitor and analyse government and regulatory proposals on electricity and gas generation, identifying risks and opportunities for members.
Draft consultation responses, policy briefings and position papers.
Attend and contribute to meetings with government, Ofgem and other stakeholders, representing Energy UK and its members.
Build strong relationships with member companies to understand and represent their priorities.
Work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation to deliver joined-up policy positions.We're looking for someone with:
Experience in energy policy, regulation, or commercial analysis - from industry, consultancy, government, a regulator or trade association.
Knowledge of electricity and/or gas generation and the policy and market landscape.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to get to grips with complex issues quickly.
Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and representing member interests.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.This role offers the chance to work on critical energy policy challenges, build strong networks, and develop your expertise within a collaborative, inclusive team.
