Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Reporting to: Shift Manager
Shift: 4 on, 4 off rotational blocks, Days & Nights.
Salary: £39,500

The business is recognised as a trustworthy and respected manufacturer of plastics within it’s Industry. As part of their ongoing growth, they now have an opportunity for a Technical Supervisor to support the extrusion production team.

About the Role
Working closely with the Shift Manager, you will oversee the hour-by-hour operation of the extrusion department, ensuring your teams production targets are achieved safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards, while promoting a positive team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  * Supervise extrusion production activities, including materials handling and granulation.

  * Ensure production lines operate efficiently while minimising waste and downtime.

  * Monitor product quality and carry out regular quality checks.

  * Support and supervise machine operators within the extrusion department.

  * Ensure all production and quality documentation is completed accurately and on time.

  * Coordinate product and material changeovers with the Shift Manager.

  * Identify production issues and implement practical solutions.

  * Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.

  * Promote and enforce health and safety standards across the production floor.

  * Act as deputy for the Shift Manager when required.

  * Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives involving equipment, processes and materials.

  * About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  * Previous experience within an extrusion manufacturing environment (preferred) OR experience within Injection moulding / Blow moulding or similar plastics processing.

  * Experience supervising production teams or looking for the next step!

  * Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

  * A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and use your own initiative.

  * Strong organisational and communication skills.

  * A commitment to producing high-quality products while maintaining safety standards.
