Portfolio Manager
Location: Westminster, London
Salary: £50,000 per annum + £6,600 car allowance and 20% bonus scheme
Hours: Full time, Monday – Friday (40 hours/week)
About the Role
We are seeking an exceptional Portfolio Manager to lead Westminster's multi-million-pound commercial waste operations. You will drive strategic growth, deliver environmental excellence, and foster sustainable partnerships across a prestigious London portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
Strategically manage and develop Westminster’s commercial waste portfolio in line with City Council objectives
Drive portfolio growth, enhancing sales, service delivery, and customer experience
Build and maintain strategic partnerships with BIDs, local associations, and environmental organisations
Identify business development opportunities while ensuring client satisfaction
Provide expert consultancy on waste minimisation, environmental impact, and carbon footprint
Lead multi-million-pound partnerships, implementing innovative sustainability initiatives
Monitor and report on KPIs, including recycling and waste diversion performance
Lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams
Ensure departmental compliance with organisational policies
Deliver budgeted revenues and profits, implementing growth strategies
Collaborate with Credit Control for effective debt management
Essential Requirements
Proven experience leading large teams (10+ direct reports) in fast-paced environments
Knowledge of environmental legislation and compliance
Experience delivering sustainability consultancy to commercial clients
Expertise in carbon reduction strategies and circular economy principles
Budget setting and financial reporting experience
Ability to create and present sustainability reports and proposals
Strong communication, influencing, negotiation, and presentation skills
Desirable Skills
Experience with Local Authority clients
Knowledge of municipal/commercial collection operations
Environmental/sustainability qualifications
Track record in waste minimisation programs
Understanding of ESG frameworks, renewable energy, and energy efficiency
Experience with Echo, Salesforce, PowerBi, or equivalent platforms
