Job Description

Job Title: Post 16 Maths Tutor Location: Newcastle Salary: £110 to £175 per day (Depending on Experience) Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Daily Supply, Long-Term Step into a rewarding role as a Post 16 Maths Tutor and help learners build the skills and confidence they need for success. GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated Post 16 Maths Tutor to work with students aged 16–19 in Newcastle, supporting them in achieving key qualifications such as GCSE resits and Functional Skills. This role is ideal for someone who can deliver engaging, targeted math interventions to small groups or on a one-to-one basis in a further education or sixth form environment. Job Responsibilities: Deliver tailored math sessions to Post 16 learners, focusing on individual needs and learning styles. Support students preparing for GCSE exams, Functional Skills, or vocational qualifications. Track and assess progress, providing feedback and adapting lessons accordingly. Collaborate with academic staff and support teams to ensure consistent learner development. Create a positive, inclusive, and motivational learning environment. Post 16 Maths Tutor Requirements: A recognised teaching or tutoring qualification is preferred. Proven experience teaching or tutoring math to post-16learners. Strong subject knowledge in GCSE-level mathematics. Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills. A flexible, resilient, and proactive attitude. Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
