Our client is building a robust, future-proof electricity network to deliver 100% renewable energy across Wales. They’re looking for a Power System Engineer to support network modelling, manage power system studies, and ensure regulatory compliance, particularly with NESO and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead network design from concept to delivery, including fault analysis and compliance updates.
* Maintain the power system model and ensure alignment with grid code requirements.
* Conduct steady-state and dynamic studies for customer connections and system planning.
* Collaborate cross-functionally and engage with DNOs, TOs, NESO, and Ofgem.
* Drive continuous improvement and report on modelling outcomes to senior leadership.
About You:
* Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
* Proven experience in power system modelling and regulatory environments.
* Familiarity with generator/network asset modelling and NESO engagement.
* Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.#
