PPA Teacher – Part-Time | 2-Form Entry Primary School | Rugeley
Are you a qualified and flexible Primary Teacher looking for part-time work in a supportive school environment?
Smile Education is proud to be working with a friendly, forward-thinking 2-form entry primary school in Rugeley to recruit a PPA Teacher to support across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. This is a part-time role with flexible working days to suit your availability.
This role is ideal for experienced teachers or ECTs who love teaching across different year groups and want to enjoy a varied and rewarding schedule without planning responsibilities.
Role Overview – PPA Teacher Responsibilities:
As the school’s PPA cover teacher, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning across all year groups by:
Teaching a range of subjects from pre-prepared planning across KS1 and KS2
Delivering high-quality lessons that engage and motivate pupils
Providing consistency and calm classroom leadership in the absence of the regular class teacher
Working across multiple classes and year groups throughout the week
Supporting pupils of mixed ability, including those with SEND
Building strong working relationships with teaching assistants and year group teams
Providing informal feedback to staff and ensuring smooth handovers
Maintaining excellent classroom and behaviour managementRequirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
Primary teaching experience in UK schools
Comfortable teaching across both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
Able to adapt quickly to different classes and routines
Confident in managing a classroom independently
