Practice Accountant
Location: North West, UK
Salary: £35,000 – £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Type: Full-time, Permanent
An established and growing accountancy firm is seeking a Practice Accountant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with solid practice experience to further develop their career in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparation of year-end statutory accounts for a varied client base
Preparation and submission of VAT returns and tax computations
Production of management accounts and financial reports
Dealing directly with client queries and building long-term relationships
Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
Supervising or reviewing the work of junior staff (if applicable)
Liaising with HMRC and external stakeholders where required
Requirements:
Previous experience working within an accountancy practice is essential
ACA, ACCA or AAT qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience (QBE)
Strong understanding of cloud-based accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks or Sage
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines
Strong communication skills with a proactive and client-focused approach
