Practice and Quality Assurance Consultant – Youth Offending Service (North London)
3 month interim contract
£350 per day inside IR35, via Umbrella
North London, Local Authority
A dynamic and forward thinking Youth Offending Service in North London is seeking an experienced Practice and Quality Assurance Consultant to support continued improvement and practice development, following a recent positive HMIP inspection rating.
Due to temporary capacity issues within the quality assurance arm, we are looking for a highly skilled professional who can hit the ground running and drive forward improvements in practice, training, and workforce development.
My client will be shortlisting for interviews on Monday 23th June and holding MS Teams interviews next week.
Your duties as Head of Service Youth Justice.
Support the delivery of the service improvement plan and quality assurance framework
Lead on practice development and staff training
Provide expertise on National Standards and HMIP inspection frameworks
Drive innovation and ensure consistent, high quality service delivery
Deliver high-quality reports and analysis to support strategic development
Supervise staff, set priorities, and manage task allocations effectively
Experience as Strategic Head of Service Youth Justice
Proven track record of impact in Youth Justice Services
Strong understanding of quality assurance systems and frameworks
In depth knowledge of National Standards and HMIP inspection processes
High level auditing and evaluation skills
Strong multi agency and partnership working skills
Experience writing strategic reports and delivering workforce supervision
A relevant professional qualification (e.g., Social Work, Law, Youth Work, Teaching, Probation)
