About the Company
Our client is a leading main contractor based in London, known for delivering high-quality residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments across the capital. With a strong pipeline of projects and continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Pre-Construction Manager to join their dynamic and collaborative pre-construction team.
The Role
As Pre-Construction Manager, you will take the lead in managing all pre-construction activities from initial enquiry through to handover to the delivery team. You will work closely with clients, consultants, estimators, and planners to ensure projects are fully scoped, planned, and costed to meet both client expectations and company objectives.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate pre-construction activities on a range of projects
*
Manage bid processes including tender submissions, presentations, and value engineering proposals
*
Work closely with the estimating and planning teams to develop competitive and compliant tender packages
*
Liaise with design consultants and internal teams to review and develop technical proposals
*
Attend client meetings, representing the company professionally and confidently
*
Identify and mitigate project risks early in the pre-construction phase
*
Contribute to improving pre-construction processes and best practices
Requirements
*
Proven experience in a pre-construction role within a main contractor environment
*
Strong knowledge of UK construction methods, regulations, and procurement routes
*
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
*
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
*
A background in construction management, estimating, planning, or design management is highly beneficial
*
Degree qualified in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline (preferred)
