Pre Press Operator - Large Format
£30,000 - £35,000 plus £2,000 signing on bonus!
Swindon
We're now recruiting for a well-established large format print company in Swindon looking for an experienced Pre-Press Operator to join their busy production team.
You’ll be working closely with the Studio Manager and Production team to prepare, check, and optimise artwork for print, ensuring every job is accurate, consistent, and produced to the highest standard.
This role is working on the day shift (Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm)
The Role
Prepare and check artwork to meet print and cutter specs
Create client proofs and visuals to a professional standard
Produce print-ready PDFs and cutter guides using Adobe Creative Suite and PitStop
Set up files with correct bleed, cutter paths, registration, and white ink layers
Use Fiery Command Workstation and Auto-Plan to optimise print and cutter layouts
Liaise with Production to ensure accurate file transfer and proof sign-off
Maintain organised file management and job workflows
Assist the Studio Manager and Sales team with visuals and artwork when neededThe Person
Proven pre-press or large format studio experience
Strong Adobe Creative Suite skills (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat/PitStop)
Knowledge of Fiery Command Workstation, Zünd setup, and white ink workflows
Excellent attention to detail, colour accuracy, and file organisation
Experience preparing artwork for substrates such as Dibond, acrylic, PVC, vinyls, and bannersSalary and Benefits:
A salary of up to £35,000 is on offer for this role, and is dependent on experience. Plus a £2,000 signing on bonus once you’ve successfully completed your probationary period.
