PRE-PRESS TECHNICIAN/ARTWORKER - LARGE FORMAT
HERTFORDSHIRE
Up to £34K DOE, + Flexibility + Ongoing Development and Support
Hours: 9:00am - 5:30pm / Monday - Friday
Our client, a well-established large format print company based in Hertfordshire. They are currently seeking an experienced Prepress Technician / Artworker to join the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and process artwork files for print, ensuring accuracy and quality.
Perform pre-flighting, troubleshooting, and adjusting files as needed.
Manage colour correction, image retouching, and file conversions.
Collaborate with designers and clients to ensure artwork meets print specifications.
Maintain an organized workflow and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Review and proof all materials before production to catch any potential errors.
Operate prepress software and equipment, including Adobe Creative Suite, and understand RIP software.
Keep up to date with industry trends and technologies to ensure best practices are followed.Requirements:
Proven experience in a Prepress or Artworker role, preferably in a large format bespoke print environment.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
Excellent eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Knowledge of colour theory, typography, and layout principles.
