Premises Assistant – Willesden School – Immediate Start
Pertemps Education are pleased to be supporting one of our fantastic schools in their current search for a Premises Assistant, based in Willesden.
At Pertemps, we're currently recruiting for a Premises Assistant after building a strong relationship with a local grouping of schools. They are looking for a reliable, hands-on individual with experience in site maintenance and facilities, ideally within a school setting. Our Pertemps Services Division specialises in the placement of non-classroom-based staff including Administrators, HR, Finance, and Facilities. With years of experience within the team, we are the best-placed recruiter to support you with your needs both inside and outside of the classroom.
Location: Willesden
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Working Hours: 30 Hours or 37 Hours
Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience)
About the Role:
Support the Premises Manager with the day-to-day upkeep of the school buildings and grounds
Carry out minor repairs, basic plumbing, decorating, and general maintenance tasks
Help ensure the school site is safe, clean, and compliant with health and safety regulations
Assist with moving furniture and setting up rooms for school events
Monitor and report issues with heating, lighting, and security systems
Open and secure the school premises when required
Support with deliveries and liaise with external contractors where needed
Conduct regular checks to maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Have previous experience as a Premises Assistant, Caretaker, or similar role, preferably in a school
Be confident with general maintenance and using hand tools
Understand basic health and safety procedures and compliance requirements
Be physically fit, reliable, and able to manage workload efficiently
Have good communication skills and a proactive attitude
Hold a valid enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
