Job Description

Vehicle Preparation Centre Leader required in Avonmouth. SALARY: Up to £70-80,000 per annum (negotiable pending experience) with access to bonuses/overtime. HOURS: 40-hour week, Monday to Friday, with 8-hour days between the opening hours 6:00am-6:00pm.  BENEFITS: Enhanced annual leave, staff purchase discounts, health and wellbeing support, CBS scheme, and BHSF Health Cash Plan amongst others. A not-to-miss opportunity has become available for a Preparation Centre Leader at our client, the largest independent used car dealer group in the South West of England, to manage their busy group vehicle preparation centre located in Avonmouth.  Reporting to and working very closely with our client's senior management team, you will have leadership and budgetary responsibility for their group vehicle preparation centre, made up of 60+ staff, including cosmetic, mechanical, valeting and site operations. You will also have management of 3rd party suppliers and stakeholders. Day-to-day duties of the Group Preparation Leader will include: Drive site leadership to deliver on key metrics, including throughput, cost, quality and cycle time. Lead vehicle prep from arrivals through to transportation for sale.  Identify improvements to drive processes for maximum efficiency of production functions. Develop a high-performance culture through visible leadership, communication, performance management and development opportunities. Working directly with store leaders to promote preparation standards and resolve quality issues once they arise. Building and sustaining key relationships and promoting the high standards of the company and operation. Lead a health and safety-focused environment, complying with corporate and legal requirements, and supporting H&S initiatives. Transformational leadership qualities are of the utmost importance to be a successful candidate for this position. Our client is looking for an inspirational individual with a successful track record in senior aftersales/operations management within the automotive industry. Someone who can influence their cultural advancement, deliver the very best customer service, and who is pragmatic, delivery-focused, and able to balance the competing requirements for the business. This will require you to have strong financial acumen, be highly process-driven, and have the ability to work on your initiative. This role will come with pressure to improve the current process and performance. A UK driving license with minimal points is essential. What's in it for you? Access to end-of-year performance-related bonuses (roughly £10,000 per annum). 23 days annual holiday allowance plus bank holidays, rising to 27 days (any bank holidays worked, you gain a day off in lieu to compensate for it).
