Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a company in Featherstone who are looking to recruit a Press Brake Operator on a permanent basis.
This role involves operating a variety of manual and automated machinery and producing high quality metal materials to meet production and quality targets.
Duties and responsibilities:
Experience of setting and using Amada HFT and HFE Press Brakes for production according to specifications provided.
Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
Determine the correct set-up and operation of the machines to ensure accurate and precise bending and forming of metal components using various materials.
Inspecting and measuring finished products to ensure that they meet the required specifications and quality standards.
Selecting appropriate tools, dies, and fixtures to produce the work.
Material Handling including loading and unloading sheet materials into the machine.
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the machine to ensure its optimal performance.
Identifying and reporting any defects to deviations from specifications.
Ensuring all work is carried out to a high standard whilst following all safety procedures.
Collaborating with other members of the manufacturing team to complete projects on schedule.
Experience required:
Experienced in operating Amada press brake machines.
Strong knowledge of metal fabrication techniques, tools and equipment.
Strong attention to detail and quality control
Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
Ability to accurately measure and evaluate the dimensions of metal. components.
