Job Description
Brook Street are currently searching for a skilled Press Brake Operator on behalf of our client in Lincoln. Our client is a respected local engineering firm who have been experiencing an impressive period of growth and are in a position to take on a Press Brake Operator on a temporary to permanent basis due to increased workload.
Position - Press Brake Operator
Pay Rate - £13-£15 per hour (depending on experience)
Location - Lincoln (LN6)
Hours - 7:30am-4:15pm (Monday to Thursday), 7:30am-3:00pm (Friday)
We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join the team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in operating press brake machinery. This role is crucial in ensuring that production processes run smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of the manufacturing operations.
Duties
Operate press brake machinery to bend and shape sheet metal according to specifications. Trumpf press machines.
Set up tooling and adjust machine settings for various production runs.
Assemble components as required, ensuring precision and quality in every piece produced.
Grind and finish edges of fabricated parts to meet quality standards.
Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production processes.
Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Press Brake Operator or similar role within a manufacturing environment.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications.
Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication processes and techniques.
Proficient in basic maths for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
