Job Title: Press Brake Operator
Based: Gloucestershire
Salary £30,000 - £32,000 plus a range of highly attractive employee benefits
Working for a global manufacturer, you will join a highly successful, skilled team of CNC Machinists and Manufacturing experts, utilising your experience of Press Brake Operation with hands on knowledge of fabrication. This is a permanent, full-time role, working a Day Shift – Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and set up the Press Brake for daily operations, including selecting appropriate tooling and calculating weights based on material specifications – mainly mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium
* Determine tool position—centred or offset—based on desired bends or cuts, and securely install tooling with material clamps
* Operate press brake machinery to bend, shape, or metal components for products and industrial applications
* Program press brake machinery, including CNC systems, to meet specific fabrication needs
* Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and customer orders with precision and accuracy
* Select tooling and materials appropriate to job specifications and tolerances
* Inspect fabricated parts for quality assurance using measuring equipment and visual checks (Micrometres, gauges, verniers and calipers)
* Collaborate and work with fabrication and welding teams to support seamless workflow
* Maintain machinery and report any faults or required maintenance promptly
* Uphold rigorous health and safety standards within the workshop environment
* Conduct test bends using scrap material to troubleshoot and refine CNC parameters before production
You many have completed your NVQ Level 111 in Mechanical Engineering or an apprenticeshipBefore You Apply
