Brake Press Operator – East Kilbride
Temp to Perm | Dayshift | Competitive Pay (DOE)
We are excited to offer a rare opportunity to join our well-established client in East Kilbride as a Brake Press Operator during a period of growth. This role begins on a temporary basis with the strong possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.
Working Hours (Dayshift):

Monday to Wednesday: 06:30 – 17:00
*
Thursday: 06:30 – 15:00
Pay Rate: Dependent on experience
Key Responsibilities
*
Set Up & Operate: Program, set, and run press brake machines to bend, form, punch, and cut metal according to technical drawings.
*
Blueprint Reading: Accurately interpret drawings, job orders, and production specifications.
*
Quality Control: Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet strict quality and accuracy standards.
*
Machine Maintenance: Carry out routine cleaning and maintenance to keep equipment running smoothly.
*
Adjustments: Calibrate machine settings to optimise performance and maintain precision.
*
Measuring & Inspection: Use precision tools such as calipers and protractors to verify dimensions.
*
Safety Compliance: Follow all health and safety regulations, including correct use of PPE.
*
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of production runs, machine checks, and any issues.
*
Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless workflow and meet production deadlines.
About You
We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Brake Press Operator with a background in metal fabrication who takes pride in producing high-quality work.

Experience: 1–3 years’ hands-on press brake operation experience.

Technical Knowledge: Confident in reading blueprints and understanding fabrication processes.
