The Role
As a Press Brake Setter, you'll play a key role in producing high-quality precision components for a wide range of engineering and manufacturing industries.
You'll be responsible for setting and operating CNC press brakes, selecting the correct tooling, interpreting engineering drawings and ensuring every component meets exact customer specifications.
This role would suit someone who enjoys working to high standards, takes pride in producing quality work and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Set and operate CNC Press Brake machinery safely and efficiently.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Select the correct tooling and machine settings for each production run.
Produce precision folded and formed sheet metal components.
Carry out first-off inspections and ongoing quality checks.
Measure components using verniers, angle gauges, rulers and other inspection equipment.
Adjust machine settings to maintain tight tolerances throughout production.
Work to production schedules while maintaining excellent quality standards.
Report machine faults, production issues and quality concerns.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
Follow all Health & Safety procedures.
Support the wider fabrication and production team where required.
What We're Looking For
Essential
✔ Previous experience as a Press Brake Setter or CNC Press Brake Operator
✔ Experience setting and operating CNC Press Brake machinery
✔ Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
✔ Experience selecting tooling and adjusting machine parameters
✔ Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes
✔ Ability to work accurately to tight tolerances
✔ Excellent attention to detail and quality
✔ Positive attitude with a strong work ethic
✔ Ability to work independently and within a team
Desirable
Experience using Amada, Bystronic, Trumpf or similar CNC machinery.
Counterbalance Forklift Licence.
Overhead crane or lifting equipment experience.
General fabrication or sheet metal manufacturing experience.
