Salary: Up to £17ph
Job Type: Permanent, full time
We are currently recruiting for an experienced and reliable Press Brake Operator on behalf of our client, a well-established manufacturing company based in Leicester. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and growing team within a supportive and forward-thinking working environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating press brake machines to bend, form, and shape metal components according to precise specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate a Safran Daley press brake machinery (e.g. Amada, Bystronic, Trumpf or similar brands).
Read and interpret technical drawings and engineering blueprints.
Measure and inspect finished components to ensure they meet required tolerances.
Carry out basic maintenance and daily machine checks.
Adjust machine settings as necessary for different materials or bend angles.
Work to tight production deadlines while maintaining high levels of quality and safety.
Report any machine faults or quality issues to the relevant supervisor.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.Candidate Requirements
Essential:
Previous experience operating a press brake in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Strong attention to detail and quality.
Good understanding of health and safety in the workplace.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.Desirable:
Experience with programming is desirable.
Knowledge of different metals and materials used in fabrication.Benefits
